In this video i'm restoring a 1930 Vintage Car Horn who not worth restorin.

I found this Vintage Car Horn at flea market and cost me only $1.
Right away i knew that i can make a nice restoration video for you.
This Restoration took me 9 days to complete.
I like so much this Car Horn with the red and black color combination and will be next to my other restoration for display on my shelf.

    1930? I'd say MAYBE more like 1960.. but not likely earlier (just my opinion as the parts are too WELL machined for anything older)
    oh! closer inspection shows it was manufactured in September 1968!

    Things were made better then. Made by proud people in their home country. This is a great example of that. Now, the Chinese produce everything and it's all junk. Cheap, depressing crap. Great restore.

    its an interesting piece. and you indeed made it work nicely. It could be possible the paint in the diaphragm might be the cause of reduced sound. its still makes a lovely sound.

    Beautiful restoration - why is it that when I try such things, the screws snap off ot the aluminium piece breaks?? BTW, it is quieter because of the painted diaphragm - the paint dampens the vibrations. Just blueing it would have been enough.

    @TysyTube Restoration Never screw in screws like that. Always apply even pressure to all places especially on old antique parts.

    I started to panic towards the end of the video, didn't know if you were going to test it. So relieved! I was surprised on how good it sounds, seems to have a two tone sound from a single horn

    why solder tips that are designed for crimping? Why mount the wire in a lug, then mount it in another lug? Why not insert directly into the o-shaped one? and why put all this in tin?
